Guy One and Guy Two (part one)
February 10, 2007
This is best viewed directly from youtube. For those in googlelandia with antiquated Final Cut Pro 2 trying to find out the best setting for exporting video to a .mov file to uploading to youtube, here are the setting I used, and they seem to work alright:
Video: Compression – Sorenson 3, quality – high, frames per second – 24keyframe – 24, data rate 750, width x height – 320×240
Audio: Compressor – “backwards y”Lan 2:1, 32 bits, 16MHz, mono.
Mind you, this is only 90 seconds and it created a 21.7 MB file so depending on how long the clip is you may have to lower the data rate, keyframe or fps to make it under the 100MB limit.
For the video below I could have pushed closer to the 100MB limit and gotten better quality out of it, but it took me 11 tries to get this up and 11 tries is enough (for now).
Any input on compressing video and audio using old Final Cut Pro 2 would be great.
